Brian O'Keefe

Brian is the owner of Mooretown Mill. His daily participation In the business assures our customers that all products meet his rigid standards. He is proud of his product and will never miss the chance to tell you all about them.

In his spare time (if any) he enjoys jaunts on his KTM motorcycle, and is an active member in many organizations dealing with educating the youth of PA in the logging industry; his passion and joy.  He lives at Mooretown and eats, breathes, and sleeps sawdust!

Scott Sorchik

Scott came to the Mill after 30 years of teaching Carpentry and Cabinet Making at the area Career and Technical Center.

We are fortunate that you will see Scott's talents in our pavillions and all of our rental properties. Scott's passions included farming and flying.

Our dearest friend passed away January 27, 2020.  We miss you.  RIP, Scott.

George Gushanas

George brings a wealth of experience to the Mill.  As a machinist, George specializes in our Planer Mill to ensure top quality T&G Groove paneling and flooring and Log Siding.  In addition, George is well rounded at the Mill from running big equipment, maintaining the Mill, and keeping the Mill yard and our rental properties well manicured.

George lives in Sweet Valley with his wife Pat.  He is an avid Gardener and enjoys cooking!

Donnie Moore

You may know Donnie from years ago.  Donnie is back at the mill to help as a general Mill hand.  He is well rounded in all areas of the Mill, but he can really push some lumber through on the trim saw!

Donnie lives in Sweet Valley.  In whatever spare time he may have, Donnie takes pride in buiding rock walls.  You may even find him scraping metal on his days off.

Rip, Bear Cub, and Echo

Rip was our public relations officer and our best friend.  He was boyfriend to Echo and father of Bearcub and 7 siblings. RIP July 2010

Echo was in the witness protection program. She was shy, but she would let you know she was there!  RIP Oct 2016

Bear Cub (Son of Rip) would run out to greet you at the Mill.  You'd always find him at Brian's heels. RIP July 31 2019

Rip, Echo, and Bearcub had envious lives....They knew nothing but love!  We are heartbroken.
